Tour Description

Sitting and Sightseeing lunch or dinner in the Ancient city center of Naples!

The city of Naples is the birthplace of most of the food that made Italy renowned worldwide, such as Babà, Sfogliatelle, Spaghetti and Pizza Margherita, and this is only a small portion of them! The city itself is big enough to feel lost if you choose to visit it on your own, and it is also not a typical touristic city. Most of its wonders are hidden, and you ought to know where to go to experience the best, through hundreds of narrow, picturesque streets.

Thanks to the expertise of our guides, you could walk through the stunning streets of the city centre admiring monuments and artworks, while being able to stop at any time by one of the many pizzaiolos that we will find on our path. You could taste the typical Zucchini Flowers before visiting Spaccanapoli, or see Piazza del Gesù soon after you tried the real Eggplant Parmigiana!

Our guided walking tour will take you to the monumental site of Santa Chiara and Piazza Bellini, in which you will have the chance to taste the true Pizza Margherita, invented back in 1889, when kIng Umberto I and Queen Margherita visited Naples. After a look at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella, the tour will arrive in Piazza San Gaetano and by the two amazing Basilicas consecrated to Saint Lawrence and Saint Paul. Then, in a pleasant stroll down the charming streets of San Biagio dei Librai and San Gregorio Armeno, you will admire hundreds of small local artisan shops, selling their Nativity figurines for Christmas!

The food experience will go on as we go, as you will have the chance to taste the famous Aglianico wine while eating Baccalà, Fiarielli, local Soups and Ragù. Our journey through art and food will end at Piazza Plebiscito, the most impressive monumental square in Naples. There, you will admire Galleria Umberto, the Royal Palace and the San Carlo Theatre, while in the nearby alleyways we will taste some of Naples’ typical cakes, including Babà and Sfogliatelle. Finally, savor a Naples-style coffee, or some local spirits. This walking tour will most likely replace your lunch or dinner, please, do not it before it if you want to taste everything Naples has to offer! Whether if you plan to visit Naples just for a few hours or if you’re staying overnight, this food & art tour is a fantastic option to visit the city and to taste its world-famous delicatessen. Bon appetit!
