AMALFI COAST FOOD & WINE TOUR

Come with us to discover one of Italy’s most enchanting areas, out of the usual touristic path. Stunning views and historic traditions will feed your soul, as local specialties will satisfy your appetite! Our food tour starts right from your cruise ship, hotel or anywhere in the Amalfi area.


Our English-speaking driver will escort you through the stunning vistas of the Amalfi Coast, surrounded by the green hills that tower above Sorrento . First, we will visit an impressive ancient olive-press in Sant’Agnello, where you will have a stroll in the midst of old mills and olive trees, as our guide will explain the olive oil manufacturing process. We will taste different kinds of oils, including some amazing oils spiced up with oranges, or enriched with a dark chocolate flavour.


Then, our tour will proceed to Sant’Agata dei due Golfi, a wonderful small borough of Massa Lubrense, right in front of the Isle of Capri, overlooking both the gulfs of Naples and Salerno. In this magic place, bejewelled by lemon-tree gardens, the famous lemon liqueur called “Limoncello” is an ancient tradition.

Our next stop is Schiazzano, an old little village whose main square hosts a typical local restaurant, located in a historic palace dating back to the eighteenth century. There, the pizza maker Lucio will tell you the secrets of a great pizza, and you will have the chance to learn how to make pizza with all of its ingredients: water, flavours, and least but not least, your “heart”! We will also try homemade cakes made by Lucio’s wife, while tasting excellent local wine.


Soon after, the tour will reach to a picturesque “Salumeria” (deli/restaurant), in which your nose will be overwhelmed by local flavours, surrounded by the aromas of specialties such as prosciutto, eggplant parmigiana, and local cheeses.
